The White Bull, Church Street, Ribchester PR3 3XP
TEL: 01254 878048
Disabled access: not terrible, the front door is level with the pavement but you wouldn't get a wheel chair past those columns.
An eighteenth century pub with Roman columns each side of the front entrance. The pub, and he village, featured in a Time Team episode in 1994 (which could still be viewed on Youtube as of July 2022), it was thought that the columns had been repurposed from one of the Roman buildings in Ribchester. The village is worth a visit for its Roman museum and the remains of the Roman bath house. It's also on thew Ribble Way long distance footpath.
